Between June 29 and July 23, 2023, at the Colored Library in Tomis Mall Constanța – Floor 3, the non-formal training course – Acting will be organized for the initiation into dramatic art and musical art of the 10 Roma people selected to be part of the cast of the musical theater show that will be produced within the “Khetanes – Together” project. The project, intended to promote the culture of the Roma community in Constanța County, has a value of 980,000 lei (198,216.06 euros) and is financed by the SEE Grants 2014 – 2021 within the RO-CULTURE Program. The course will have two training modules: M1 – Introduction to dramatic art and M2 – Introduction to musical art.
“Khetanes – Together” takes place between January 1 and December 31, 2023 and involves the organization of 7 categories of contemporary creative activities through which the traditions, customs, crafts, traditional clothing and language of the county’s Roma community will be promoted to the general public Constant. The promoter of the project is the Georgian Russian Cultural Association, and the partners are the “Center for Social Inclusion – S-E Region” Association (Romania) and the Concordia Oslo Association (Norway).
